Diana “Dilee” Maher, a cross-media artist, began her musical career in the San Diego/Los Angeles, California area. Her mixed lineage (50% broadly Southern European, 50% southeast Asian including Native American ancestry) fostered a strong desire to bring cultures together in an atmosphere of positivity and spirituality. Dilee dedicates all of her music “to the Divine.” “Devotion to our Creator, to me, means embracing and giving the magic of kindness to every living thing as a particle of the all,” says Dilee, “and I believe each one of us is inter-connected, which is why my new promotional T-shirts and sweatshirts are emblazoned with ‘The love in you is the same in me’.”
Diana “Dilee” Maher was born Diana Lee DiNucci. She is a serial artpreneur; a Grammy ® Voting singer and writer of dream pop songs (see media link) turned fashion designer. She’ll be launching her highly anticipated apparel line which will be in stores Spring of 2019 with pre-sales through Kickstarter autumn 2018. A cross-media artist, she began her musical career in San Diego/Los Angeles….
Thanks to her Kickstarter backers, Dilee’s first commercial music album release, “With Love,” was released August 22, 2017, and has been accepted onto the ballot for the 60th Grammy® Awards. Her first single off the album titled “Afterglow (A Cappella) [featuring Armand Hutton],” was released on June 2, 2017, and ranked on the mediabase charts due to national radio play. Multi-Grammy winner Kabir Sehgal asked to write her album liner notes for “With Love,” and his description is pure poetry.
Dilee’s resume, which includes a Spoken Word album and several single releases garnered her voting member status in NARAS (Grammys®). These releases coupled with two earlier unreleased musical productions with both Ike Turner and Ike Turner Jr. were the beginning of her musical career.
Dilee has a philanthropic heart and serves on two Boards. She is on the Board of Directors for Drive Hope, backed by Stevie Wonder who performed with the Drive Hope Choir December 2016, and she serves on the Advisory Board for Safe Passage.
Dilee also donates a portion of her sales of her music and a portion of sales on her line of Celebrity Signature soy candles to homeless veterans. CBT Candles-LA makes them for her in mulberry and lemon grass uniquely her own and personally signed by Dilee for all of her listening friends. CBT Candles has designed signature candles for Carolyn Hennesy, Dee Wallace, Michael Vaccaro Proteus, Alison Arngrim, Kathy Garver and Sheena Metal.
Being a part of the voting process and being a positive role model are responsibilities Dilee takes seriously. She believes in goodness, equality, love, and the belief that we as human beings should strive to touch each other’s lives in a positive way. Her music is one way of bringing the world’s essence together, transcending all cultural and national borders in order to celebrate life.
